Your FIRE Number is the single most important milestone in the journey to financial independence. It's the total investment portfolio value you need to never work for money again. Calculated using the 4% Rule (drawn from the landmark Trinity Study), your FIRE Number is simply your expected annual retirement expenses multiplied by 25.
